The video and poster

We are really happy that the consultant has actually approved our video to be posted on all their Social Media sites and that were we ecstatic when she said that she really appreciate our efforts!

The video is how we make crepes the Ned's way. If you are curious on what goes into the crepes besides the effort and passion, check out the video and spread it around.

Click here to watch the video!

We also did a poster for children's day. We want to give back to society so a portion of each crepe that is sold will go to a children in need. We should not always be receiving and we should also give back. We did a national day poster as well however the consultant had a better idea on it and told us to leave that to her.

Here's the poster for the children's day that we did:

Guess what exciting news!! Ned's Crepe is renovating and it will finish just before national day(9th august). Even though our project is ending next week, we are going to go down and take pictures of the new shop layout and we will also be giving out flyers on 8th of August. Can't wait to see the new look of Ned's Crepe.

Video Recording Shoot @ Ned's Crepes

Today Verghs and I went down to Ned's Crepes to record a video on how their popular crepes are made. We managed to record their all time favorite chewy 'Ned's Special' and crispy 'Seaweed Chix' crepe. I was scrambling all over the store taking pictures and videos, trying to get the perfect angle and composition. The purpose of the video will be to educate the public what a crepe is and what goes into it besides the passion and love for food.

The manager and the consultant were very nice as they gave us the two Crepes that were made for the video. However sadly, i was fasting and the consultant said that i could drop by again anytime for a complimentary crepe on her! Besides that, she also mentioned that our new 'Reward Card' design was great and that she would tweak it a little to make it perfect. Generally, we really had fun today going down to the store.

In these few days, i will spend my time scanning through all the clips, extracting, and compiling them into one single video and hopefully by tomorrow we can put in up on their new youtube channel that we would be creating for Ned's Crepes. Hopefully the editing goes well. :)

Here are some of the screenshots of the upcoming video:

The Reward Card

Yesterday evening (23 July) our group sat down together to further discuss about our reward card. First we were discussing about the designs of the card and how it would actually attract customers to come back and buy their crepes again.

The consultant actually told us that the main thing of this reward card is that, there must be an ongoing relationship between Ned's Crepes and the customers. She did not want a plain reward card, but rather a reward card that is engaging. So all of us brainstormed together and we decided to come out with this design! Hopefully the consultant would be pleased with the reward card that we designed! Cheers! :)

The Back of the Reward Card

Well how does the reward card work then?

For every crepe that a customer buys, they are entitled to a chop on their reward card.

However when customers purchase their 5th crepe, they are entitled to a 50 cents discount on their next purchase!

But wait, this isn't it just yet! When customers purchases eight crepes, they are entitled to a free drink!

Last but not least, at their eleventh purchase, they are entitled to a free crepe and a drink of their choice the next time they drop by!

Progress of doing the poster

We are decided to create a poster for our company Ned's crepes. Before that we have suggest some ideas to the manager and the consultant of the our company. They mentioned that they will be looking through our ideas. However, they still have not replied us. We have intended to do a poster for the upcoming event - National Day. Due to the fact that they have not replied us, we are unable to carry out the process of doing a poster which promotes their products. We actually suggested the company to launch a new product for National Day and we can help them to promote this newly launched product.

Moreover, they did not send us any of their new products pictures and we cannot design a poster to promote and attract people to participate. We will try to contact the company again and see what we still can do for the company.

Signing off,
Aricia :)

Photoshop Session!

So we had our first photoshop session during our break time on friday.
Syafiq as the "tutor" here , are guiding us along with our photoshop skills.

Firstly, he photoshopped one picture to show us how to do it on his computer. Afterwards, we were on our own but he's there to assist us. It was really a fun experience as i didn't know i can do so much things using photoshop, like an original jump shot, you can change the background into a cliff picture so it will look like you're gonna jump off the cliff. That's one of the example but sadly, i didn't managed to save it.

After this session, my group will know more about photoshop and used what we have learnt to design our Ned's Crepe poster. It would be really useful for everyone of us.

THE DISCUSSION

last Friday, we met up with the consultant and the manager to further discuss our plans. We had a very productive talk for about 1 hour. We told them about the posters that we wanted to create, the promotions that we wanted to do and the purpose of all them. They shared their concern and the way that we can improve our ideas. For example, they wanted us to revise on the idea of our reward card and they also wanted us to do more research on posters before designing them as sending the right message is very important. Futhermore, the shop will be renovating and this means that the consultant wants a more detailed timeline on when and what we are going to do. We showed the manager our slides for the analysis of the overseas and local competitors and they were very impressed. Now is time for us to get very serious!!

Done with Presentation 2!!

Today there were supposed to be 2 groups presenting however one of the other group’s member could not make it and we had to take the stage first.
Through this local and overseas case-study, we have learnt to attract customers of different age groups using different methods. We have also learnt that managing a good relationship with customers is indeed really important and that a company should try their best to engage with them i.e. if a customer was to be unhappy with one of the staff’s service, or food, the company should actually reply the customers in the best tone possible as well as informing them that their feedback is very much appreciated cum would they try their very best to investigate and improve on the issue further. All in all, I think that today’s presentation was a successful one!!

Presentation 2 is down! Just one more to go!!
Persevere guys!! We can make it through!! :)

P.S. Tomorrow after school, we would be going down to Ned’s Crepes as a group to meet the manager so that we could discuss and lay down our plan as a whole.

So do keep a look out for our next blog post as we would we talking more about how the meeting went and what actions would be taken!

Cheers! And enjoy the rest of the week! :)

Also as mentioned in the blog previous blog post, we would be having a presentation tomorrow! All the best to all of us out there! Hopefully our slides would let y'all know some facts of the local and overseas company! And that we would be able to learn and gain knowledge as a whole.

What I learnt from the other groups today=D

There are 3 groups presenting for their case studies on the local or overseas groups. Tomorrow will be my turn to present. I am rather nervous for this presentation and hope I will do well. I have learnt from the 3 groups that they have managed their work properly. I have realised that different companies have came out with different strategies to promote for their products. For the overseas group which consists of Desmond, Brandon and Weijie, the company they did was interesting. The boss of the company has came out with many great ideas, such as having the tongue twister competition that attracts most customers to participate and buy from them. From Zhenfang group, I have learnt that we must have a good relationship with customers and we must introduce many promotions that will bring in business for the company. Not only this, we must engage our customers by posting quotes on the facebook page so that we can have an interactive session with our customers.
